In a shocking revelation, popular gospel actor Abel Martins has announced his decision to step away from Christian movie productions indefinitely. His revelation has sent waves through the industry, especially given his past collaborations with legendary filmmaker Mike Bamiloye.
Martins, in a now controversial interview on “The Journey” with Dele Adeyanju, shared explosive details of his bitter experience within the Christian film sector. The actor cited betrayal and envy as major reasons for his dramatic exit, hinting at a deep-seated conspiracy against him by some of his colleagues.
“I know we have come to fight a war in this world,” Martins said cryptically. “Heavy is part of why I make up my mind that I won’t take part in any Christian production again.”
He further explained that his frequent work with Mike Bamiloye had fueled jealousy among fellow actors, leading to what he described as a "vicious plot" to tarnish his reputation. According to him, these tensions escalated behind the scenes, pushing him to this drastic decision.
While expressing gratitude for Mike Bamiloye’s unwavering support, Martins praised the filmmaker for standing by him through his most difficult moments, emphasizing their strong bond despite the intense pressures surrounding their work.
Martins' sudden departure has ignited fierce discussions online, with fans speculating on the nature of the "vicious plot" he hinted at, and what this might mean for the future of Christian filmmaking in Nigeria.
