Suleiman Abdullahi: Nigerians Contribute ₦100M to Support Dismissed Soldier

Nigerians, especially those from the northern region, have raised over 100 million naira to support former soldier Suleiman Abdullahi.

Abdullahi was dismissed from the military after he shared a video on social media in which he criticized the government for permitting bandits areas of the despite the military's ability to neutralize them in less than 24 hours.

Here is a video of Abdullahi addressing the public following his dismissal from the army:

Excerpts:

"This is what Nigeria has become, simply because i came out to say the truth and say the things happening in the country.

I didn't insult my superiors, i didn't insult the political leaders. I only came out to talk about the bandits and the things happening in Nigeria but Nigeria doesn't like to hear the truth. Speaking about the truth has made me to lose my job, today I have been dismissed from the army because of the truth I spoke.

I am happy and fulfilled that anyone who will come across me or my video won't say that's the soldier who stole anything, or that is the soldier who was caught with another man's wife or that's the soldier who was caught with illegal rifles. I am grateful to God because it was God who gave me the opportunity to serve as a soldier and it's equally God that took it away. Alhamdulillah"
