A 14-year-old boy named Sewell Setzer III tragically took his own life after developing an intense attachment to a chatbot inspired by "Game of Thrones" on Character AI.

Reports indicate that Sewell became increasingly obsessed with the AI, leading to devastating consequences. In response to this heartbreaking incident, Character AI has issued a statement on's mother is anticipated to file a lawsuit later this week.

“Sewell, like many children his age, did not have the maturity or mental capacity to understand that the bot, in the form of Daenerys, was not real. She told him that she loved him, and engaged in sexual acts with him over weeks, possibly months,” the papers allege.
