Nollywood actress Bimbo Oshin has remembered her late husband, businessman and music promoter Ola Ibironke, popularly known as Dudu Heritage, five years after his death.

Oshin marked the anniversary of his passing with an emotional tribute shared on Instagram on Saturday, reflecting on the memories they created together and the lasting impact of his absence on their family.

For the actress, the passage of five years has not erased the pain of losing her husband. Instead, she said the memories of their life together remain vivid, making his death feel much more recent than the years that have passed.

“Five years have passed, but it still feels like yesterday,” she wrote.

Oshin recalled moments when Ibironke was still present in their home, describing memories of his laughter and the affection he shared with members of the family.

“Like yesterday you were here laughing with us. Like yesterday you were holding our hands,” she said.

Her tribute painted a picture of a family still coming to terms with the absence of a loved one who played a central role in their lives.

According to Oshin, Ibironke was more than her husband. He was the centre of their family and someone whose presence helped shape their everyday lives.

“Heaven really gained an angel the day you left. And we lost the centre of our world,” she wrote.

The actress also highlighted the effect of his death on their children, saying they continue to miss their father and the role he played in their lives.

“All your children miss their daddy every single day. We miss your advice, your hugs, your presence,” Oshin said.

Her words showed that, despite the years since his death, the family continues to feel his absence in different aspects of their lives.

Beyond remembering him on the anniversary of his passing, Oshin said the family has deliberately kept his memory alive. She noted that his influence remains part of their lives and that they continue to carry memories of him with them.

“We keep your memory alive because you are still a part of everything we do,” she wrote.

The tribute also offered a glimpse into the bond Oshin shared with her late husband and the significance of their years together. Rather than focusing only on the circumstances surrounding his death, the actress chose to remember the affection, companionship and family moments that defined their relationship.

Ibironke, known in entertainment circles as Dudu Heritage, was a businessman and music promoter who was involved in the Nigerian entertainment industry. His death marked a painful period for Oshin and their family, with the actress continuing to remember him publicly on significant occasions.

For Oshin, the fifth anniversary has once again brought memories of their life together to the forefront. Her message suggests that grief does not necessarily disappear with time, as certain memories and emotions can remain deeply rooted in the lives of those left behind.

Her tribute has also highlighted the enduring connection between the late promoter and his children, as well as the importance of preserving his legacy within the family.

Five years after his passing, Oshin continues to speak of Ibironke with affection, remembering him not simply as a late husband but as a father, companion and central figure in the family they built together.

While time has moved forward, the actress made it clear that the love and memories surrounding his life remain present.

Through her words, Oshin honoured the memory of Dudu Heritage and reaffirmed that his presence continues to be felt by the family, even in his absence.
