Nollywood actress and mother of two, Ashabi Simple, has finally spoken out following the viral leaked conversation between her and controversial street-hop singer, Portable.

Earlier, Portable had taken to his Instagram page to publicly blast Ashabi, accusing her of trying to destroy his marriage to his wife, Bewaji. In the leaked chat, the singer described Ashabi as “the mistake” he made in his life and claimed she was responsible for driving away one of his former lovers, Queen Dami.

He also called her a “useless human being,” accusing her of attempting to turn his wife against him by spreading gossip that he had multiple girlfriends. The Zazuu Zeh crooner went as far as raining curses on her, questioning what she had ever done for her parents and vowing never to love her again.

“You molest me, you disrespect me; it’s because of God’s grace on my life that you’re with me. You’re evil. Any woman I want to call my wife must respect me, but you don’t do that; you’re driving me crãzy,” he said in part.

Portable continued, “Whenever they call my wife Bewaji, I am always happy, and she is always happy too. You are the mistake I made in my life among all the women who had kids for me. You were the one who chased Queen Dami away. When she came to apologise, you and your friends spoiled it. You are a useless human being. Why do you want to chase all women away from me? It was God who didn’t let Bewaji leave my house. You went to tell Bewaji that I had girlfriends. It shall not be w£ll with you. What have you ever bought for your parents? You poor girl. I can’t love you. You are wasting your time. You ingrate. Who knows you? You want to pay me with ev!l after I raised you up. Leave my life.”

Following the controversy, Ashabi broke her silence through a post on her Instagram page. The actress explained that she is not one to air her private life online, especially matters concerning her relationship. She urged fans and critics to act as though nothing had happened and discouraged anyone from giving her unsolicited advice.

“Omoh, I don laff tire today. Can we just act like nothing happened? Asin no b today naw, stop making big deal out of dis naw,” she wrote.

She went on to note that the singer had dragged her publicly before but she had always chosen silence.

“Not sure, have never cum to this media to talk abt my relationship except love. Please let’s keep it all love here, if u have an opinion concerning my relationship life, tell GOD to minister it to me through a dream or drop it on the person who requested it page,” she added.

Ashabi further hinted that love had made her appear like a failure to outsiders but insisted she was neither blind nor deaf to her situation.

“Na love wan make me be like a failure, I know I’m not, time will tell, let me be. Abeg no advice me, I’m not blind or deaf,” she concluded.

The relationship between Portable and Ashabi has been rocky for the past two years, marked by repeated public clashes and reconciliations.

In June, Portable accused her of trying to turn his wife against him, claiming she was feeding Bewaji with negativity about their marriage. Earlier in March, the singer explained why he only took his wife on a London trip, calling her “peaceful” while accusing Ashabi of constantly competing with her.

Despite the drama, Ashabi has continued to show public support for the singer. On his birthday, she treated him to a lavish meal, and in April, after his release from police custody in Kwara State, she shared a romantic video of them together. That same month, she celebrated him for purchasing a new Ford F-150, thanking God for his success and praying for “more keys, grace, and blessings.”
