Nigerian comedian-turned-preacher Woli Arole has shared important guidance with fans and followers on how to properly greet him in direct messages. On his Instagram page, the popular entertainer warned that messages starting with “Hi Arole” are considered rude and impolite.
In his post, Woli Arole stated, “Please, this information is for those people who message me either to show me their services or you need me for something. Please, don’t enter my DM or Email with ‘Hi Arole’. I find it rude and not polite. I will not reply you. I would prefer a ‘Good Morning or Good Afternoon instead. Thank you.”
The comedian also previously stressed the importance of building relationships before asking for favors. He noted that some people often reach out for help without prior interaction, whether on WhatsApp or Instagram.
In addition to relationship advice, Woli Arole condemned the Imbe Challenge, a social media trend mocking children with Down Syndrome. He described the act as “wrong, appalling, and distasteful”, highlighting that children with the syndrome deserve love and support, not ridicule.
Woli Arole also took aim at Nigerians in the diaspora, warning against a sense of superiority simply for living abroad. Recalling an encounter, he said, “Someone told me he just got back from America in a prideful way. I replied, letting him know that I stay in Nigeria and I was doing well.”
With his candid advice, Woli Arole continues to inspire proper etiquette in communication while advocating for kindness and humility.
