Nigerian singer Paul Okoye, also known as Rudeboy, has announced plans to take legal action against a woman who allegedly made defamatory statements about him on social media.
A Twitter user identified as Ayomide Agboola (@chubbiedivah) posted a tweet claiming that Paul Okoye had raped or coerced their domestic help, who she described as "way younger." She further alleged that when the incident was discovered, Paul sent his then-wife, Anita Okoye, and her sister out of their home. The tweet quickly went viral, with many users tagging Paul to bring attention to the accusation.
Upon realizing that Paul had seen her tweet, Ayomide deactivated all her social media accounts, including her Facebook page. However, some users had already downloaded and shared her photos with Paul.
In response, Paul Okoye expressed gratitude to those who brought the matter to his attention and vowed to pursue justice. He warned Ayomide, stating:
"I hardly reply!!! But you see this one!!! @chubbiedivah, if you like, go private, leave X!! I will find you; I will use every necessary means, power, resource, and money. You will face the law; I will use you as an example. (scapegoat)… Your only way out is to leave the surface of this Earth and relocate to space. To everyone who brought my attention to her tweet. Thank you."
This controversy brings to light allegations from Paul's previous marriage to Anita Okoye. In 2022, Anita filed for divorce, citing reasons such as infidelity, separation, absentee fatherhood, fraud, and difficult experiences.
Court documents revealed that Paul had allegedly thrown Anita and her sister out of their home after discovering that an affair with their housemaid had been exposed. Reports claimed he boasted that his actions were meant to ensure Anita had "no one else to lean on."
In 2023, the Abuja High Court in Maitama granted the divorce, ordering Paul to pay a monthly settlement of $20,000 and transfer several of his properties. Following the divorce, Paul moved on with model Ivy Ifeoma, marrying her in May 2025 and welcoming a child together.
The former couple reportedly maintained an amicable relationship until August, when they unfollowed each other on social media, allegedly after Paul bought a second mansion in the U.S. for his pregnant wife.
As of now, Ayomide Agboola has not been found yet or responded to Paul's statement.
