Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has sparked conversation online by addressing a widespread belief about religion. Taking to his Instagram page, Edochie clarified that practicing both Christianity and traditional spirituality does not equate to worshiping multiple deities.
"Being a Christian and a Traditionalist doesn’t mean you’re serving 2 Gods. No. It means you’re serving the same God in 2 different ways," he stated.
Edochie’s remarks come amid his recent spiritual transformation, which has drawn significant public attention. Following his separation from his wife, May Edochie, the actor announced his acceptance of a divine calling and the launch of his personal ministry.
Initially focused on Christian teachings, Edochie surprised fans when he began to advocate for traditional religious practices. According to him, God instructed him to return to his roots and embrace the customs of his ancestors, which he claims are divinely approved. He explained that doing so brought him a sense of wholeness and fulfillment.
Earlier this year, he revealed that he had been called to be both a prophet and a native doctor. He emphasized that his mission is to guide people back to their traditional heritage, asserting that these practices offer a valid path to spiritual salvation.
Recently, Edochie reaffirmed his dual spiritual role, declaring his commitment to both Christianity and traditional worship. He maintains that his spiritual direction is divinely inspired and that his goal is to reconcile these two paths in service to one true God.
