Afrobeats megastar Davido has revealed that stepping away from music and social media for a period opened his eyes to just how much his presence matters in the entertainment world.
Speaking during a recent media chat, the award-winning singer confessed that his brief hiatus was unplanned but necessary for personal reasons, though it unexpectedly triggered a wave of silence in the industry.
According to him, the shift was palpable. Artists weren’t releasing as frequently, the usual online drama died down, and even his critics grew silent.
Davido noted that the absence gave him room to reflect, and it became clear that his name alone carries an energy that drives the industry forward.
