Nigerian medical doctor and visual artist Fola David has officially received his Guinness World Record Plaque for creating the largest painting by an individual.

The groundbreaking artwork, titled Unity in Diversity, spans over 1,000 square meters and celebrates the multicultural heritage of Nigeria, the world's most populous Black nation.

The remarkable feat took place at Onikan Stadium, Lagos, where Fola began the six-day creative marathon on July 16, completing it on July 21, 2024. His achievement underscores not only his artistic prowess but also his dedication to showcasing Nigeria’s rich cultural identity on a global scale.

Reflecting on the milestone, Fola shared an inspiring message on his X handle he said: "Hello guys… a @GWR world record holder is saying hi Thank you to everyone who supported me with your messages, comments and reposts. This one is for us 🇳🇬"
