Famous Nigerian musician Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy of the P-Square duo, has expressed his dismay over the ongoing rift between him and his brothers, Peter Okoye and Jude Okoye. Despite their business differences, Rudeboy questioned why they can't maintain a familial bond.
The crisis within the P-Square family became public when Paul accused his twin brother, Peter, of involving the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in their dispute.
Peter allegedly petitioned the EFCC to investigate Paul and their elder brother, Jude Okoye, for diverting P-Square’s royalties into a private account through a secret company, Northside Music, owned by Jude and his wife, Ifeoma.
Peter allegedly petitioned the EFCC to investigate Paul and their elder brother, Jude Okoye, for diverting P-Square’s royalties into a private account through a secret company, Northside Music, owned by Jude and his wife, Ifeoma.
Peter, in response, denied the accusations and emphasized his intent to uncover the truth behind the alleged secret company. Jude also took to Instagram live to deny the claims of diverting funds, insisting that the allegations were false.
Amidst the ongoing investigation by the EFCC, Rudeboy took to Instagram live on Monday, August 19, 2024, to voice his frustration, stating, "Even if we don’t do P-Square, can’t we be brothers? Even if we can’t do music, can’t we be brothers?"
Rudeboy expressed his sadness over the situation, noting, "Like I said, I don’t want to talk much. I don’t used to talk before. It’s so unfortunate."
