Popular Nigerian gospel singer Yinka Alaseyori has taken to social media to express her distress over alleged death threats she has been receiving.

In an emotional Instagram live session, the singer pleaded with the general public for prayers and support, revealing that she has been facing online attacks for the past six months.

In the now-trending video, Alaseyori, without naming any individuals, described the extent of the threats and negativity directed at her. "I am supposed to fear human beings. I will not die untimely. It has become a taboo," she declared.

She explained that she has encountered numerous comments and direct messages filled with curses and ill-wishes, but she chooses to smile and remain strong in the face of such hostility.

Alaseyori went on to issue a warning to those who wish her harm, stating, "Whoever wishes me death is counting the days of death for him or herself. If you think what I deserve is to die, you also want to die. If you are calling for death, do not come to my DM. Do not tell anybody about me for evil."

She further invoked divine protection against those who harbor ill intentions towards her, saying, "If anybody gathers to wish me death, no matter how much they are, even if they are prophets, the angel of death will go after them."

In her heartfelt plea, Alaseyori asked her followers and well-wishers to remember her in their prayers, both when they see her on stage and when she is out of the public eye. "Please pray for me. I need your help. If you see me on stage, pray for me. And pray for me when you don’t see me or hear from me," she urged.
