Veteran Nigerian musician Baba Fryo has publicly called out upcoming artiste Nasboi for allegedly stealing lyrics from his iconic hit song, Denge Pose. In a now-viral video shared on social media, Baba Fryo expressed his frustration and demanded proper credit and compensation for his work.

The controversy arose after Nasboi released his new track Short Skirt, which Baba Fryo claims includes lyrics from his classic hit. Specifically, he pointed out that the line "Dengo dey denge Denge" from his song was used in Nasboi's track without his permission.

Speaking in pidgin English, Baba Fryo warned Nasboi to reach out to him before he takes further action. "Nigerians, I greet una. This thing don dey happen e don tey. And I was not happy with it. But now I want to take action," he stated.

He continued, "You see that song wey Nasboi sings about ‘short skirt’. My lyrics ‘Dengo dey denge Denge’ are inside the verse. So, anybody wey know Nasboi should tell him to reach out to me before water go pass geri."

Clearly upset, Baba Fryo emphasized that he is no longer willing to tolerate his work being used without acknowledgment or compensation. "As you are looking at me, I’m not happy but this one must be the last time that anyone will use my song without telling me. You people should tell him to reach out to me before I take action," he concluded.

The veteran artist's public outcry underscores the importance of respecting intellectual property in the music industry, and many will be watching closely to see how Nasboi responds to these allegations.
