Destiny Etiko Addresses Alleged Affair with Omotola Jalade's Husband, Matthew Ekeinde

Nollywood actress Destiny Etiko has responded to rumors of an alleged romantic affair with veteran actress Omotola Jalade's husband, Captain Matthew Ekeinde.

The rumors, which have been widely circulated, claimed that Etiko was involved with Ekeinde and that he had even purchased a luxury car for her.

During an Instagram Live session, Etiko vehemently denied the allegations, labeling them as baseless and an attempt to tarnish her reputation. She expressed her frustration with the false claims, emphasizing that she has worked hard for nearly everything she owns.

"If you want to withhold the blessings of God in somebody else’s life and you want to grow, it is impossible," Etiko said. "Before, you guys had always spoken ill about me. Do men give money? Even if they do, I do not know."

She went on to clarify that she has always purchased her own cars, often buying a new one on her birthdays as she enjoys changing her vehicles each year. Etiko also addressed the origin of the rumors, explaining that they stemmed from a photograph taken over four years ago when she met Ekeinde on a flight where he was the pilot.

"Some bitter people just sat down and brought the pictures that I took with Omotola’s husband over four years ago when I was on a flight, and he was the pilot," Etiko explained. "He asked what was happening, and they told him I was an actress. I greeted him with the respect of a senior colleague’s husband. I asked him to let us take a selfie out of respect. We went there, took a selfie, and that was it."

Etiko's response aims to set the record straight and dispel the rumors surrounding her and Captain Matthew Ekeinde. She also used the opportunity to remind her followers that her success is a result of her hard work and determination, rather than the product of unfounded gossip.
