‘I’m now an upcoming artiste’ – 2BABA laments

Innocent Ujah Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, expressed his feelings of being perceived as an "upcoming artist" due to the successes of younger artists in the music industry. 

The veteran Nigerian singer, renowned for hits like "African Queen," commended the achievements of the younger generation of artists while emphasizing his determination to regain the spotlight.

Despite the challenges posed by the changing dynamics in the music industry, 2Baba hinted at his comeback, promising to release new music later in the year. 

On his Instagram page, he wrote: “Mennn! These new cats are not smiling o. I don turn to upcoming artist o. Chai!

“But as dem talk am, we no go gree for anybody this year. Na kitchen [studio] I dey lai dis.”
