Renowned Nollywood actress Funke Akindele is elated as her cinematic creation, "A Tribe Called Judah," is set to make history by grossing 1 billion.

The movie has already achieved the status of the highest-grossing Nollywood film ever, amassing 854 million views in cinemas, according to the Nigerian box office.

Funke Akindele shared this exciting news with her 16.2 million followers on Instagram on January 2, 2023. "A Tribe Called Judah," produced and directed by Funke Akindele herself, was released in cinemas nationwide on December 15, 2023.

The movie revolves around the character Jedidah Judah, a single mother portrayed by Akindele, navigating life with her sons, each fathered by different men. The film features a talented ensemble cast, including Jide Kene Achufusi, Timini Egbuson, and others.

To celebrate this achievement, Funke Akindele shared graphics on Instagram and accompanied the post with the song "God Did" by DJ Khaled.
