‘Trolls called me frog, so I purchase a multi-million-naira frog pendant ’ – Davido

Afrobeats singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, disclosed the motivation behind his purchase of a multi-million-naira frog pendant from Ice Box.

In a recent interview with GQ, the 30 Billion Gang boss revealed that he made the frog pendant as a response to social media trolls who mocked him for his hoarse voice.

Davido explained that online trolls had nicknamed him "frog" on Twitter (now X), and to turn the situation around, he decided to create something positive out of the criticism. 

Davido said: “I made a frog pendant because my voice is hoarse and they [trolls] were calling me frog on Twitter. I was like, you know what? I’m going to make a chain out of that sh*t.”
