"I Was a Car Mechanic Before Sydney Talker Signed Me," Reveals Singer Khaid

Talented singer Sulaimon Shekoni Solomon, popularly known as Khaid, has opened up about his journey to success, revealing that he engaged in several low-paying jobs before being signed by comedian Sydney Talker to his record label, Neville Records.

The 18-year-old artist shared that he worked as both a painter and a car mechanic at different points in his life before achieving stardom.

Khaid disclosed these details during an appearance on the Hip TV program "Trending," hosted by reality star KimOprah.

Despite the challenges he faced along the way, the 'Anabella' crooner emphasized that he had always believed in his destined greatness, regarding the menial jobs as essential steps in his journey towards achieving his goals.

He said, “I see everything as programming. At that time when I was a car mechanic, I knew it was just programmed for me to be there at that time. I knew it was necessary for me to be there at that time. I knew that was not where I was going to be forever. But I just knew it was necessary for me to go through that process either for something that’s coming in the future or something that’s gonna happen at that time.

“I knew it was a process at that time. And I vibed with the process until I got to where I felt like is where I’m going to.”
