Snap, the company behind Snapchat, is currently having internal testing to launch Snapchat Plus, which will be subscription-based. The news was broken by Verge based on the information gathered from Snap Spokesperson Liz Markman. The new Snap app will give users access to new and exclusive features.
Snap decided to join the likes of Netflix, Twitter Blue, HBO Max and Disney Plus with the Snapchat Plus. Twitter Blue is the paid service of Twitter which the microblogging giant launched last year. Some of the cool features Twitter Blue has that are alien to Twitter are the Undo Button and the NFT function. Telegram also has plans to go premium very soon. Snap is joining the subscription gangs with this move.
According to the Twitter post of Alessandro Paluzzi, an app researcher, the following are the features being tested by Snap.
Snapchat Plus Features
- #1 BFF Feature – This feature will allow users to pin a special best friend.
- User can change the Snapchat icon
- Users will get notification of who has viewed their stories more than once
The App researcher also reveals the price of Snapchat
Plus. The price currently listed for the Snapchat Plus is 4.59 Euros a month and 45.99 Euros
a year (which is around $4.84 and 48.50, respectively). The prices are just tentative,
and this is bound to change after launch.
