The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Nigeria's major opposition party, has announced Atiku Abubakar's running mate as the Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa.
The incumbent Delta State Governor Okowa arrived at the party’s headquarters, earlier to attend the PDP’s Vice Presidential screening.
Okowa, who was being welcomed with ‘congratulations’ as soon as he entertained the party building by members was full of smiles.
Contrary to what was making rounds in the media, that Nyesom Wike, Rivers State Governor, would emerge as Atiku’s running mate.
Alhaji Atiku wrote via his official Twitter handle:
