Yhemolee has taken aim at those criticising him over a moment captured at his Manchester gig, where he was seen holding a woman's hand. The Nigerian entertainer is unhappy with the attention surrounding the clip, arguing that people are dragging an innocent person into a situation that does not concern them.

Rather than ignore the criticism, Yhemolee addressed the issue directly, questioning why people were making assumptions about his relationship with the woman. He also maintained that the woman was not a stranger to him, explaining that she was married to his friend and that they both attended his event.

In his response, he made it clear that he was not bothered by what people had to say about him. However, he drew a line at dragging other people into unnecessary controversy.

He wrote:

“Una know me no be today.. I no send anybody mama and papa to start with. Never given zero f^ck but when you use your witchcraft to drag innocent people into unnecessary mess it just shows how miserable most of you are living.”

Addressing the circumstances surrounding the hand-holding moment, Yhemolee questioned why anyone would assume that the gesture meant he was cheating. He pointed out that he was holding the woman's hand openly at an event attended by more than 3,000 people, adding that he continued laughing and interacting with his friends afterwards.

“So I won cheat now so na my show I go publicly hold the woman hand come Dey waka where 3,000 plus people Dey and I go Dey shine teeth. After the video self I no still leave the hand. I was even laughing with the boys", he noted.

He also explained what he said when cameras and lights were directed at the woman, suggesting that the attention caught her off guard. According to him, the woman was someone he knew, and her husband was also present at the event.

“And the exact thing I said was Una just open 8 camera lights untop woman Una no know. If I see myself for cutie tomorrow I go find you and we laughed. That’s literally my friend, and she’s married to my friend as well and they both came to my gig", he stated.

Yhemolee did not hold back when addressing those questioning why the woman appeared uncomfortable with the attention. He argued that people should consider the circumstances before drawing conclusions about her reaction to the cameras.

“U.gly ass g!rls with dirty wigs on twitter asking why she’s hiding, no she for open eyes enter flash lights from no where na or make she even do 360 for the camera. See where we Dey waka come from", he noted.

The entertainer went on to joke about the attention that comes with being famous, suggesting that some people were simply finding reasons to criticise him. He also expressed frustration over what he described as an excessive preoccupation with his personal life.

“E no easy to Dey hot to start with so I no fit blame Una, na me wey famous Naso one oloriburuku for lipstick sey her papa do foursome 😂😂 Eyin people yi eh fimile now. This obsession with Yhemolee is actually too much", he said.

Despite his strong response, Yhemolee acknowledged that many people support him. He urged them to exercise restraint, stressing that criticism directed at him should not become an excuse to hurt other people.

“I know sey many of Una love me but make Una try calm down. If na only me if Una like post from now till rapture I go enter quilox still drink better 42. But hurting others in the process no make sense at all.”

He concluded by insisting that he would not deliberately use another person as a scapegoat to satisfy public opinion. He then shifted his attention back to his appearance in Manchester, where he said he had enjoyed the night.

“The very day I go use one person do scapegoat I swear to hear beg Una must kpai me first. For now Manchester we lit up the city tonight", he added.

For Yhemolee, the main issue appears to be the way an ordinary interaction has turned into a discussion about his private life, with the woman at the centre of the attention also facing scrutiny.

His response makes it clear that while he is prepared to accept criticism directed at him, he does not want other people dragged into the situation.
