Nollywood is set to welcome another emotional drama as I Need You prepares to premiere on NafisatadigunTV YouTube channel on Friday, October 2. The movie, which has released its official trailer, is expected to explore themes of love, kindness and understanding.
The announcement was shared by actress Nafisat Adigun, who invited movie lovers to watch the trailer ahead of the premiere and turn on notifications on the YouTube channel to be among the first viewers.
A Story About Love And Understanding
The message accompanying the trailer raises questions about the true meaning of love and the qualities that should come with it.
“Love they say it’s beautiful, but isn’t love suppose to be kind and understanding,” the post stated.
The question sets the emotional tone for I Need You, suggesting a story that examines the complexities that can arise when love is tested. Rather than presenting love as simply beautiful, the movie appears to focus attention on the importance of kindness and understanding in relationships.
The title itself, I Need You, points to a story centred on emotional connections and the desire for companionship. With its focus on love, the movie is positioned as a drama for audiences interested in relationship stories and emotional narratives.
Nafisat Adigun TV To Host Premiere
The movie will be released exclusively on NafisatadigunTV YouTube channel on Friday, October 2.
Viewers have been encouraged to visit the channel ahead of the release and activate their notifications so they do not miss the premiere.
The decision to release the movie on YouTube also gives audiences an opportunity to watch the production online without having to wait for a traditional cinema release. NafisatadigunTV will serve as the platform through which viewers can access the movie.
With the official trailer already released, anticipation is building ahead of the scheduled premiere.
Oyinlola Opeyemi Gbefun Directs
I Need You is directed by Oyinlola Opeyemi Gbefun, who is credited with bringing the story to the screen.
The production is handled by NafisatadigunTV, while Teemony and Biodun are credited with managing the project. The editing was handled by Lateef Olofin L.A.
The combination of the director, production team and cast forms the creative team behind the new movie.
Star-Studded Cast
The movie features a cast comprising Babatunde Aderinoye, Jide Awobona, Big Shark, Biodun, Nafisat Adigun and Omodasola Tijani.
Jide Awobona is among the familiar faces featured in the production, while Nafisat Adigun also joins the cast in addition to her role in promoting the movie through NafisatadigunTV.
The ensemble is expected to bring the emotional and dramatic elements of the story to life as the characters navigate the issues surrounding love and relationships.
Trailer Builds Anticipation
The release of the official trailer gives viewers a first look at what I Need You has in store ahead of its October 2 premiere.
Although the full story will be revealed when the movie drops, the central message surrounding the trailer places love, kindness and understanding at the heart of the production.
The questions raised in the announcement also invite viewers to consider whether love can truly thrive without understanding and compassion. These themes provide the foundation for what promises to be an emotional Nollywood drama.
As the premiere date approaches, fans of Nigerian movies can head to NafisatadigunTV on YouTube and turn on notifications ahead of the release.
I Need You will be available to watch exclusively on the channel from Friday, October 2, giving viewers another Nollywood relationship drama to add to their watchlist.
