Nigerian singer Orezi has taken a firm position on the controversial case involving Lindsay Clancy, saying he would have no problem walking away from a friendship if the person supported Clancy.
For the singer, the issue is not one he believes should become a source of endless arguments between friends. Instead, he said people are entitled to their opinions, but he also has the right to decide who he wants to maintain close relationships with.
Orezi explained that if someone he considers a friend openly supports Clancy, regardless of the perspective they use to look at the case, he would rather bring the friendship to an end.
Sharing his opinion, Orezi said he would end his friendship with anyone who supports Clancy in any way rather than argue with them about the case.
He said:
"If you are my friend And I see that you support Lindsay Clancy in any type of way , no matter what angle you decide to judge her situation from Consider our friendship over As in !!! Your reasoning is impaired and I can’t deal with such Because if e reach say me and you argue about the matter Na fight we go fight That woman strangled her 3 kids to d£.ath .. 3 oooh .. one of them was 8 months old Huh Which kind empathy I wan get for that kind person She should Rot in jail !!!!!".
His comments come as the Lindsay Clancy case continues to attract attention because of the circumstances surrounding the d£.aths of her three young children.
Clancy, a former labour and delivery nurse from Massachusetts, was accused of k!ll!ng her three children at the family's home in Duxbury in January 2023. Her children, five-year-old Cora, three-year-old Dawson and eight-month-old Callan, d!ed after being str@ngled.
According to prosecutors, Clancy killed the children before attempting to take her own life by jumping from a second-floor window. She survived but suffered serious injuries.
The case has also raised difficult questions about mental health. Clancy's defence has argued that she was experiencing severe postpartum psychosis at the time of the killings and that her mental state affected her ability to understand or control her actions.
Prosecutors have disputed that explanation and maintained that Clancy should be held responsible for the deaths.
The legal proceedings reached another major point in September 2026 when a jury was unable to reach a unanimous decision in her m%rder trial. The judge subsequently declared a mistrial, meaning the case was not resolved with either a conviction or an acquittal.
For Orezi, however, the details surrounding the case have not changed his personal view of what happened. His comments show just how strongly he feels about the deaths of the three children and the difficulty he would have accepting a friend's support for Clancy.
His position is ultimately a personal one, but he made it clear that, in his view, the deaths of the three children make it impossible for him to separate the case from the question of where someone stands morally on what happened.
