Music executive and entertainment personality Soso Soberekon has reportedly offered Nigerian singer Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P, the sum of N500 million to face his twin brother, Paul Okoye, in a celebrity boxing match.
The unusual proposal emerged in a viral video circulating on social media, where Soberekon appeared at a nightclub while Peter was performing on stage. In the video, Soberekon was seen holding up his phone towards the singer, with a message displayed on the screen offering N500 million for Peter to fight Paul.
N500m Offer Emerges Amid Family Feud
The reported boxing proposal comes at a time when the Okoye brothers remain embroiled in a prolonged family and professional dispute.
Peter and Paul, who gained widespread recognition as members of the now-defunct music duo Psquare, have had a turbulent relationship over the years, with disagreements repeatedly affecting their music partnership and personal relationship.
The brothers first parted ways in 2017 following disagreements involving their elder brother, Jude Okoye, who managed the group.
Their separation disappointed fans across Africa, particularly after years of success that saw Psquare become one of the continent’s most celebrated music acts.

Peter recently accused Jude of excluding him from proceeds allegedly generated from the group’s music, including a reported $25,000 payment. He also claimed that he was not a signatory to one of the accounts allegedly used to receive royalty payments.
Jude has denied wrongdoing and maintained his position on the financial issues, while Paul has also expressed his desire to distance himself from some aspects of the ongoing controversy.
The dispute has also attracted comments from members of the Okoye family, including their elder brother, Henry Okoye, who has publicly expressed concerns about the damage the prolonged disagreement has caused to the family.
Will Peter And Paul Accept The Challenge?
Against this background, Soberekon’s reported N500 million proposal has added another unexpected dimension to the saga.
Celebrity boxing matches have increasingly become a form of entertainment, with public figures facing off in controlled bouts that attract considerable attention. However, turning a long-running family disagreement into a boxing contest would be an entirely different development.
