Big Brother Naija Season 11 has officially entered another phase of its latest twist, with Flora becoming the first Gambit housemate to receive a secret assignment from Biggie.
Flora was summoned to the Diary Room on Sunday afternoon, where Big Brother privately revealed her first mission since becoming one of the season’s Gambits.
Flora Given Secret Assignment
During the Diary Room session, Biggie instructed Flora to secretly remove all the wrappers in the house without allowing the other housemates to realise what she was doing.
The seemingly simple task immediately put Flora’s ability to operate discreetly to the test.
Rather than openly explaining why she was removing the wrappers, she had to complete the assignment while maintaining the impression that she was simply going about her normal activities in the house.
The mission forms part of the secret responsibilities attached to the Gambit role and could create interesting situations as Flora attempts to carry out Biggie’s instructions without attracting suspicion.
Flora And Aikou Become Gambits
Flora and Aikou were officially introduced as the two Gambits of the 11th season during Sunday’s live show by host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.
Their selection followed a new twist introduced by the organisers, giving viewers the opportunity to choose one male and one female housemate to take on the special role.
Unlike the other contestants, the Gambits are not competing for the season’s N160 million grand prize.
However, their exclusion from the main prize does not mean they will leave the competition.
Instead, Flora and Aikou will remain in the house until the finale while carrying out confidential assignments given to them by Big Brother.
Gambits Must Keep Their Identities Secret
One of the most important rules attached to the new twist is secrecy.
Flora and Aikou have been instructed not to reveal their Gambit status to the other housemates.
The two contestants must therefore continue interacting with everyone in the house normally while secretly completing tasks that could influence activities around them.
Big Brother also warned that exposing their identities could lead to disqualification.
This means that every mission presents a double challenge for the Gambits: they must complete Biggie’s instructions while ensuring their fellow housemates do not discover what they are really doing.
First Mission Puts Flora Under Pressure
Flora’s wrapper-removal assignment marks the beginning of what could become a series of increasingly difficult missions throughout the season.
Although removing wrappers may appear straightforward, the secretive nature of the task makes it more challenging.
The other housemates could easily become curious if they notice Flora repeatedly moving around the house or removing items without an obvious reason.
Her ability to provide convincing explanations, avoid suspicion and complete the assignment could therefore determine how successfully she performs her new role.
The mission also gives viewers an early glimpse into how the Gambit twist will work in practice.
A New Dimension To BBNaija
The Gambit concept introduces a different element to the traditional Big Brother Naija format by giving selected housemates responsibilities that are separate from the normal competition.
Rather than simply participating in tasks and nominations, Flora and Aikou have been given confidential roles that require them to influence situations while remaining undercover.
Their missions could potentially create unexpected moments, misunderstandings and suspicions among the other contestants as the competition progresses.
The twist also gives the Gambits a unique position in the house because they are simultaneously participants and secret agents working according to Biggie’s instructions.
Season 11 Continues
BBNaija Season 11 premiered on July 26, with 24 housemates entering the competition for the record N160 million grand prize.
The season is scheduled to run for 10 weeks, meaning Flora and Aikou have several weeks ahead of them to complete their assignments and maintain their cover.
With Flora already receiving her first mission, attention will now turn to Aikou and the type of secret assignment Biggie will give him.
For Flora, the immediate challenge is clear: complete Biggie’s instructions, remove the wrappers and, most importantly, ensure that nobody discovers that she is working as a Gambit.
