Nollywood actress and public figure Tonto Dikeh has taken another step in her Christian journey with the launch of a new spiritual initiative, the New Wine Prophetic Tabernacle, popularly known as NWPT.

The actress announced the initiative through her social media platform, describing it as more than a conventional religious gathering.

According to the vision behind NWPT, the movement is intended to bring together believers from different Christian backgrounds who are committed to prayer, spiritual growth, revival and a deeper relationship with God.

The name of the movement is drawn from Mark 2:22, where Jesus speaks about putting new wine into new wineskins.

The biblical reference reflects the organisation's emphasis on renewal, transformation and a fresh spiritual experience.

Unlike a traditional denomination or local church, NWPT is being presented as an interdenominational movement. Its stated objective is to create an environment where believers can pray together, develop their spiritual gifts, receive training and participate in evangelism.

The movement is also expected to focus on what its organisers describe as spiritual awakening and the empowerment of Christians to live out their faith more actively. Weekly fellowship meetings have been scheduled for Fridays at 6:00pm.

Tonto Dikeh's latest initiative comes after several months in which she has become increasingly vocal about her Christian faith.

She has appeared at Christian gatherings and shared messages about her spiritual experiences with her followers. She has also used the name “Ada El Roi” in some of her social media activities.

In December 2025, the actress publicly shared a testimony during a service at Streams of Joy International Church.

During the testimony, she spoke about significant changes she said had taken place in her life and described being delivered from habits and behaviours she had struggled with for years.

Her public expression of faith has continued into 2026, making the establishment of NWPT another significant development in her spiritual journey.

Beyond her religious activities, Dikeh has remained a prominent figure in Nigeria's entertainment and public space.

She has also been involved in politics, having contested as the running mate to Tonte Ibraye under the African Democratic Congress during the 2023 Rivers State governorship election.

Her personal life has equally attracted public attention over the years. In January 2026, she announced that she had reconciled with her former husband, Olakunle Churchill, years after their highly publicised separation.

The former couple, who married in 2015, had previously been involved in a lengthy public dispute before eventually revealing that they had resolved their differences.

With the launch of the New Wine Prophetic Tabernacle, Tonto Dikeh appears to be expanding her involvement in Christian activities beyond personal testimony and social media expression.

Whether NWPT develops into a major interdenominational Christian movement remains to be seen, but its launch represents another notable chapter in the actress's increasingly public faith journey.
