Nigerian Afrobeats singer Ayra Starr has recorded another major international milestone following the debut of her latest studio album, Starrgirl, on the Billboard World Albums chart.
The 16-track project entered the chart at No. 4 in its first week, placing the singer among the leading artistes featured on the latest ranking.
Starrgirl also ranked ahead of South African singer Tyla’s APop, which occupies the fifth position on the chart.
The latest achievement further demonstrates Ayra Starr’s growing presence on the international music scene as she continues to expand her audience beyond Africa.
‘Starrgirl’ Enters Billboard Top Five
Ayra Starr’s album secured the fourth position on the Billboard World Albums chart, behind Stray Kids’ This & That, which claimed the top spot.
Cortis’ GreenGreen followed at No. 2, while Ateez’s Golden Hour: Part 5 occupied the third position.
The strong debut gives Ayra Starr another notable Billboard achievement and adds to the impressive run surrounding the release of her latest project.
The singer released Starrgirl on August 14, 2026, through Mavin Records and Republic Records.
Ayra Starr Opens Up About Album

Born Oyinkansola Aderibigbe, Ayra Starr rose to wider prominence following the release of her hit single Bloody Samaritan in 2021.
The song became one of the defining releases of her early career and helped establish her as one of Nigeria’s emerging Afrobeats stars.
She has since continued to build her profile internationally, earning awards, nominations and collaborations with prominent artistes.
