Nollywood actor Uche Maduagwu has weighed in once again on the long-running situation involving Yul Edochie and his estranged wife, Queen May Edochie, insisting that the actor may never come across another woman like her.
Maduagwu, who has repeatedly defended Queen May since the collapse of her marriage, described her as a unique woman whose value could not be replaced. In his latest message, he argued that Yul failed to recognise what he had and suggested that Queen May was a special blessing in his life.
Referring to the respect Queen May enjoyed within the Edochie family, Maduagwu also mentioned veteran actor Pete Edochie, saying the Nollywood icon's admiration for her was not without reason.
He wrote:
"Yul Edochie, you can never find a good wife material like Queen May again. Any woman you find can never be as great as Queen May because she was a gift from God to you or why did you think your Dad, Sir Pete Edochie, is always singing her Praise?".
The comments have added another chapter to the public conversation surrounding Yul and Queen May's troubled marriage, which has remained a topic of interest since their separation became public.
Yul and Queen May were married for several years and built a family together before their relationship took an unexpected turn in 2022. That year, Yul announced that he had welcomed a son with fellow actress Judy Austin, a revelation that came as a surprise to many and drew widespread public attention.
Following the announcement, Queen May openly expressed her disappointment and maintained that she never agreed to a polygamous marriage. The development marked the beginning of a highly publicised breakdown in their relationship, with the couple eventually going their separate ways.
Since then, Queen May has continued to focus on raising her children, expanding her brand partnerships and growing her presence as an entrepreneur and public figure. Yul, on the other hand, has continued his acting career while publicly showcasing his relationship with Judy Austin.
The former couple's marriage has remained the subject of legal proceedings, with both parties moving forward separately after years of public scrutiny.
Despite the passage of time, comments about their failed marriage continue to emerge from colleagues and public figures, with Maduagwu's latest remarks once again highlighting the lasting interest surrounding one of Nollywood's most talked-about relationships.
