‘We Miss You’ – Jide Kosoko Pays Tribute to Henrietta on Death Anniversary

Veteran Nollywood actor Jide Kosoko has once again honoured the memory of his late wife, Henrietta Kosoko, ten years after her death.

The celebrated actor took to social media on Saturday to reflect on the loss of his beloved wife, whose passing in 2016 left a deep void in the lives of her family, friends and colleagues in the entertainment industry.

 Sharing a cherished photograph of Henrietta, Kosoko expressed how much she remains missed by those she left behind.

In his heartfelt message, the actor remembered Henrietta as a loving partner, devoted mother and a pillar of strength to their family. 

He noted that although a decade has passed since her departure, her influence continues to be felt in the lives of their children, who have grown and progressed in different aspects of life.

Kosoko also expressed gratitude for the legacy she left behind, saying he believes she would be proud of the accomplishments of her children. His tribute reflected both sorrow and appreciation, highlighting the enduring bond they shared during her lifetime.

Henrietta passed away on June 6, 2016, at the age of 53. Her death shocked many within Nollywood, where she had built a reputation as a talented actress and respected colleague. 

Before her passing, reports indicated that she had been dealing with health challenges, including complications linked to diabetes. Other accounts also suggested that injuries sustained in a previous road accident may have contributed to her declining health.

During her acting career, Henrietta featured in several Yoruba-language films and earned admiration for her performances on screen. She became a familiar face to movie lovers in the 1990s and remained active in the industry for many years.

Over the last decade, members of the Kosoko family have consistently remembered her on significant dates. 

Their daughters, including Bidemi and Temilade, have often shared touching messages in her honour, demonstrating the lasting impact she had on their lives.

For Jide Kosoko, the anniversary serves as another reminder of the woman who stood beside him through important moments of his life. 

Despite the passage of time, the veteran actor has continued to keep her memory alive through annual tributes and public reflections.
