Scarlet Gomez Opens Up on Emotional Challenges While Filming “Behind The Scenes”

Nollywood actress Scarlet Gomez has revealed that filming emotional scenes in the movie Behind The Scenes was one of the most demanding experiences of her acting career.

Speaking in an interview, the actress explained that the role required her to fully immerse herself in intense emotional states, making certain scenes mentally and physically draining to perform. 

According to her, staying in character during such moments was particularly challenging, as it often meant revisiting painful emotions to make the performance believable.

She noted that despite the difficulty, the outcome of the project has been rewarding, especially with the strong reaction from viewers and critics. 

The film earned her an AMVCA 2026 nomination, a recognition she described as both surprising and humbling.

Scarlet admitted that she was overwhelmed by the audience response, saying she still finds it difficult to fully grasp the impact of her performance on viewers. 

She expressed gratitude that many people connected emotionally with the film, with several fans reportedly sharing how deeply the story moved them.

While she described Behind The Scenes as challenging, she clarified that it was not the most difficult role she has ever taken on, but it still pushed her limits as an actress.

The actress also hinted at upcoming projects, revealing that she has multiple productions scheduled for release before the end of the year. She said fans should expect different storylines and character portrayals across various genres, although she declined to reveal specific details.

On the subject of production, Scarlet stated that she has no immediate plans to become a film producer, adding that not every actor is meant to take that path.

She also spoke briefly about her marriage, describing her husband as supportive and secure in her career, noting that trust plays a key role in their relationship.

Reflecting on her journey into Nollywood, the former beauty queen said acting was never part of her original plan but became a passion she discovered along the way.
