Nigerian singer Zerry DL has spoken about his thoughts on relationships and what he expects from a future partner.
In a recent interview, the young artiste took a calm but firm position when the conversation moved to marriage and how he sees life with a partner in the future. He explained that he is not the type who believes everything in the home should be outsourced or handled by hired help.
According to him, certain basic responsibilities should still remain within the home, especially when it comes to family life and daily living. One of the things he highlighted was cooking, which he believes should be a skill a partner should naturally have.
He put it plainly during the discussion:
“I can’t hire a private chef, I’m a traditional man, so my wife must know how to cook.”
The statement reflects his personal view about how he wants his home to be run when he eventually settles down. For him, it is not about luxury or outsourcing every duty, but about maintaining a simple and traditional family structure where certain roles are still valued.
Zerry DL also made it clear that he is not currently focused on relationships at the moment. He said his attention is mainly on building his music career and improving himself as an artiste. At this stage of his life, he prefers to put his energy into his craft rather than distractions from dating or serious relationships.
The singer, who is gradually carving out his space in the Nigerian music scene, continues to attract attention not only for his sound but also for how openly he speaks during interviews. His honest approach often gives fans a clearer picture of his mindset outside music.
While opinions may differ on his statement, it simply reflects his personal preference and how he imagines his future home life. For now, however, he remains focused on his journey in the music industry, taking things one step at a time as his career continues to grow.
