Priscilla Ojo has addressed growing public curiosity surrounding her decision to keep her newborn son away from social media, making it clear that she is not swayed by external pressure when it comes to her child’s privacy.
The actress and influencer, who has remained active online since becoming a mother, spoke about the issue during a livestream conversation with content creator Jarvis.
The discussion, which took place during a casual outing at a park, shifted toward parenting and the expectations placed on public figures to share every aspect of their personal lives.
Responding to critics who have questioned why her son’s face has not been revealed, she gave a direct and unfiltered response.
“If they should like, they should drag me. I will hide his face. When I’m ready, when I feel like I’m okay, I will reveal his face.”
Her statement reflects a deliberate decision to control what is shared about her child, regardless of online opinions or speculation. While many public figures frequently introduce their children to social media audiences shortly after birth, Priscilla has chosen a different path, focusing on privacy during the early stages of motherhood.
She recently welcomed a baby boy with her husband, Tanzanian music star Juma Jux, and since then, she has carefully curated what parts of her family life appear online. Although she continues to share elements of her lifestyle and career, her child has remained intentionally out of public view.
Being the daughter of veteran Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo, Priscilla has lived much of her life under public attention. That exposure appears to have shaped her current approach to motherhood, where she is drawing clearer boundaries between her personal life and her public image.
The conversation around celebrity children and digital exposure has continued to grow in recent years. With social media becoming deeply embedded in everyday life, public figures are often expected to share personal milestones in real time. However, there is also an increasing awareness of the long-term implications of putting children in the public space before they can make their own choices.
Priscilla’s decision places her among a growing number of young celebrities who are reassessing how much of their family life should be accessible online. While some choose full visibility, others are opting for selective sharing or complete privacy during early childhood.
Her relationship with Juma Jux has also drawn attention across Nigeria and Tanzania, with fans following their journey closely. Despite that interest, the couple appears aligned in their approach to keeping their child away from the public eye for now.
The reaction to her comments has been divided, with some expressing understanding and support, while others continue to question her choice. Still, her position remains unchanged, centred on personal comfort rather than public expectation.
In her own words, the decision is not up for negotiation, and the timing of any introduction to the public will be entirely on her terms.
