Rotimi Salami Responds After Troll Accuses Him of Using Late Allwell Ademola To Promote Movie

Nollywood actor Rotimi Salami has addressed criticism from a social media user who accused him of using his late colleague and friend Allwell Ademola to promote a cinema project. 

The actor has been actively promoting Kilanko, a movie directed by the late filmmaker before her passing.

In recent posts shared on his social media pages, Salami uploaded photos and clips connected to the film as part of efforts to encourage audiences to watch the project in cinemas.

 However, his posts sparked mixed reactions online, with one critic questioning his intentions.

The troll wrote in the comment section:

“I don’t know why you are using this lady to sell film? Please, let her rest peacefully.”

The remark quickly drew attention, and Salami did not hesitate to respond. The actor pushed back against the accusation, describing the comment as ignorant and defending his decision to continue promoting the movie directed by his late friend.

Replying to the critic, he wrote:

“Some people comment with so much ignorance.

If e reach your turn, keep inside cupboard or hide the hard work of your late loved ones.”

Salami’s response has since sparked conversations among fans and followers on social media. While some people believe promoting the film helps preserve Allwell Ademola’s legacy and celebrate her work, others feel that constant references to the late actress may be unnecessary.
