Nigerian Afrobeats star Omah Lay has officially revealed the release date for his highly anticipated second studio album titled Clarity of Mind, ending months of speculation among fans who have been waiting for details about the project.

The award-winning singer made the announcement on February 6, 2026, through his social media platforms, confirming that the album will be released on April 3.

The announcement immediately generated excitement among fans and music lovers who have been eagerly awaiting new music from the Port Harcourt-born star since the success of his debut album.

According to the singer, Clarity of Mind will consist of 12 tracks and will include some previously released songs that have already gained traction among listeners.

Among the singles expected to appear on the project are “Holy Ghost,” “Waist,” and his more recent track “Don’t Love Me.” These songs have already given fans a glimpse into the direction and emotional depth the new album may explore.

While the full tracklist and featured artists have not yet been revealed, expectations are already high. The singer’s longtime collaborator Tempoe is expected to play a major role in shaping the sound of the project.

Tempoe previously worked extensively with Omah Lay on his debut album Boy Alone, producing several of the standout records that helped define the project’s unique sound.

Tempoe also produced the hit song “With You,” a collaboration between Omah Lay and Afrobeats superstar Davido. The track earned international recognition and received a nomination at the Grammy Awards, further boosting the global profile of both artists.

Omah Lay’s upcoming album arrives with significant expectations due to the success of his earlier work.

Since breaking into the mainstream in 2020 with his EP Get Layd, the singer has established himself as one of the most distinctive voices in modern Afrobeats. His music is widely praised for its emotional honesty, melodic sound, and introspective songwriting.

The singer is particularly known for expressing vulnerability in his music, often exploring themes such as love, heartbreak, mental struggles, and personal growth.

His recent single “Don’t Love Me” is a reflection of those themes, offering listeners an honest look at his experiences with relationships and emotional commitment.

Industry watchers believe Clarity of Mind could represent another important step in the singer’s artistic evolution. Omah Lay himself has also raised anticipation around the project, previously suggesting that the album will serve as proof that he belongs among the greatest artists of his generation.

Interestingly, the journey toward completing the album was not entirely smooth. The singer previously revealed that he had to delay the project after discovering that another artist had allegedly copied elements of his sound.

According to him, the situation forced him to scrap a significant portion of the original recordings and start over, eventually leading him to create an entirely new body of work.

The forthcoming album will be released under the record label KeyQaad, which has been home to Omah Lay since the early stages of his career.

With the release date now confirmed, fans across Nigeria and beyond are counting down to April 3, when the singer’s long-awaited sophomore album will finally be unveiled to the world.
