Peller Credits Funke Akindele For Support During His Arrest

Nigerian streamer Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, has opened up about a profound act of kindness from Nollywood star Funke Akindele during one of the most challenging periods of his life. 

Peller says she helped him while he was arrested, a gesture he calls both unexpected and deeply meaningful.

Last year was a particularly turbulent time for Peller. He experienced a serious accident, emotional struggles related to his relationship with his partner Jarvis, and a highly stressful incident that led to his arrest  all of which he had shared publicly online. 

Amid this storm, Akindele reportedly reached out, offering support and encouragement when he needed it most, leaving an indelible impression on him.

At a recent public event, as Peller recounted her help, Akindele playfully tried to steer the conversation away. But Peller continued, openly admitting he was going through a very difficult time then. Akindele responded with warmth, prayers, words of encouragement, and a hug  simple gestures that spoke volumes about her compassionate nature.

This act is consistent with Akindele’s long history of quietly helping others in the industry and beyond. She has supported colleagues and friends without fanfare, offering personal assistance during times of need. 

Skit maker Kamo State credited her with helping secure medical care for his wife during pregnancy and supporting them through related expenses. Actress Debbie Shokoya has expressed gratitude after Akindele promoted her movie on social media at no cost, giving her project visibility and support.

Beyond individual acts, Akindele has engaged in broader charitable efforts, distributing food and essentials to underserved communities and using her platform to encourage empathy and kindness.

 Whether it’s small gestures or large initiatives, her commitment to uplifting others quietly and consistently has made her a respected figure both on and off the screen.

For Peller, the support he received during his arrest was more than just a helping hand it was a reminder that true generosity often happens out of the spotlight, rooted in genuine care and humanity.
