 Nigerian rapper and activist Falz has taken to social media to sharply criticize religious leaders and influencers for prioritizing politics over the welfare of citizens.

 His statement comes in the wake of a tragic incident in Kwara State, where nearly 200 people lost their lives due to violent attacks, leaving communities devastated and raising serious questions about government protection and leadership.

He wrote: “I don’t know when we are going to wake up. Nearly 200 people were kill£d in Kwara State, yet some are already involving celebrities and influencers with messages like ‘Relax, Tinubu is fixing Nigeria.’ They will still attend your church, and your pastors will allow them to campaign.”

Falz’s remarks highlight the growing concern among Nigerians that, while citizens mourn and struggle with insecurity, certain religious leaders are using the tragedy as a backdrop to push political narratives.

 The rapper, known for merging activism with his music, emphasized that churches should prioritize humanity over politics, stressing that political campaigning under the roof of religious institutions is both insensitive and morally wrong.
