Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has taken to social media with a heartfelt plea to her fans and followers, begging for help to remove her phone number from Facebook after being overwhelmed by thousands of unsolicited messages from men.
In a video shared on her Instagram page, the actress revealed that her WhatsApp inbox is now “blocked” with more than 5,000 men in her DM saying they want to marry me,” adding that she has no idea what video or post caused the sudden surge of attention.
The popular screen star, known for her bold personality and candid online presence, made it clear she is single but not actively searching for a partner. She begged admirers to stop texting her number and said repeated efforts to delete the contact from her Facebook account have been futile. Echoing her frustration, she insisted: “Please, I am single, but I am not searching, stop texting my number.”
In an amusing yet stern Instagram story follow‑up, Nkechi warned anyone trying to scrounge her number from Facebook that they would be blocked as they typed. “Do mistake find my number go Facebook, I go block you as you dey type! Bunch of hediots.”
This isn’t the first time Nkechi Blessing has voiced her frustrations with unwanted attention and the pressures of love. Over the years, the actress has been open about her turbulent love life. In 2025 she confirmed the end of her long‑term relationship with social media personality Xxssive, telling fans she was “very single and unavailable” and that future relationships would be kept private. Prior to that, she was romantically linked with US‑based politician Opeyemi Falegan, though she later clarified she was never married to him despite widespread assumptions.
Nkechi has also spoken candidly in interviews and on podcasts about how past relationships shaped her view of love, including acknowledging early painful experiences and stressing she has never dated someone violent toward her. She has also publicly shared that in all her past relationships, she’s never dated a man wealthier than herself and prefers stability and respect in a partner.
Despite the unwanted attention, Nkechi maintains that she isn’t looking for a husband right now — a clear message she hopes the thousands of unsolicited suitors will finally understand.
