Nigerian influencer Symply Tacha recently sparked heated discussion online after insisting that men still need to make an effort to impress women in relationships.

Her statement, shared on social media, has since gone viral, with fans and critics weighing in on the topic of dating culture and modern expectations.

In her post, Tacha drew a striking comparison between men and male birds, noting that even animals make extraordinary efforts to attract their mates.

She argued that the idea that men no longer need to impress women is both inconsistent and misleading. “Push the whole narrative of ‘men don’t have to impress’ and I’m like, you can’t tell me men don’t have to impress and every other day you’re telling a girl let me buy you bottles, let me take you out. There has to be effort,” she stated.

Tacha explained that while modern dating culture often frames men as being relieved from traditional expectations, the reality is different.

Many women are still expected to maintain high standards and receive gestures of care, attention, and thoughtfulness. In contrast, some men believe effort is optional, claiming independence or “wokeness” as justification.

Tacha described this mindset as misguided, emphasizing that consistency and effort are foundational to healthy relationships.

She went further to draw lessons from nature, highlighting that male birds expend significant energy and creativity to attract female partners.

“The ones that don’t put in effort are the ones trying to push the whole stupid woke 2025 nonsense. If animals can get it, and they are saying, ‘oh are you an animal?’ Those animals have 90% DNA structure as humans. So yes, if a bird can understand he has to impress the female, who are you to not understand you have to impress?” Tacha wrote.

Her statement also reflected her views on accountability and mutual respect in relationships. Tacha urged women to be honest about their expectations and not settle for minimal effort under the guise of being modern, independent, or progressive.

She emphasized that effort is not about materialism alone, but about showing care, attention, and intentionality in a partnership.

Tacha’s message has resonated with many online, with fans praising her for speaking candidly about a topic that is often avoided in public discourse.

Some argued that her analogy to nature was a humorous yet poignant reminder that effort is universal, crossing species and cultures alike. Others took the opportunity to debate the fairness of expectations placed on men versus women in modern dating.

As social media continues to evolve, Tacha’s statement reinforces her role as a vocal influencer unafraid to challenge cultural narratives.

By comparing men to male birds and highlighting the importance of effort, she has reignited conversations about respect, reciprocity, and intentionality in relationships.

Whether fans agree or disagree, her post serves as a reminder that gestures of effort whether big or small remain a key part of maintaining meaningful connections.

For now, the discussion continues online, with many agreeing that relationships thrive not just on compatibility, but also on consistent displays of care and effort something Tacha passionately highlighted in her viral commentary.
