Renowned Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has spoken passionately about her recent interaction with individuals living with lupus in Abeokuta, Ogun State, using the opportunity to call for greater empathy, awareness, and understanding of the medical condition.
Akindele shared her experience following a visit to the city for the Behind the Scenes meet-and-greet event, an outreach tied to her latest project. According to the award-winning actress, the encounter went beyond a routine promotional appearance and became a deeply emotional moment that reinforced the power of storytelling rooted in compassion.
