Tennis legend Venus Williams has officially tied the knot with her Italian actor and model partner, Andrea Preti, in a lavish second wedding ceremony held in Palm Beach, Florida.
The intimate yet luxurious celebration came months after the couple first exchanged vows in Italy.
Williams, 45, and Preti, 37, chose to host a second ceremony in the United States due to legal documentation delays tied to their Italian wedding, which can reportedly take up to eight months to become fully official.
With family members traveling in from Europe, the couple seized the opportunity to turn the occasion into an extended celebration filled with love, laughter, and memorable moments.
According to Vogue, the couple treated their closest friends and family to six days of elegant dinners, pool parties, and private gatherings in Palm Beach. One of the standout highlights was a yacht celebration gifted by Venus’ younger sister, tennis icon Serena Williams.
The yacht served as a floating venue for some of the wedding guests and kicked off the festivities in grand style.
“Serena gave us this gift of a beautiful yacht, and she arranged all the food, everything,” Venus shared. “We had 10 to 12 of our closest family and friends on the boat. We were singing, dancing, gossiping, and just enjoying each other.”
The ceremony itself was deeply personal. Venus reportedly recited her vows in both English and Italian, a touching nod to her husband’s heritage. The celebration continued late into the night, with guests partying into the early hours of Saturday morning.
Reflecting on the big day, Venus described it as one of the happiest moments of her life. “It was just the happiest, most beautiful, sweetest day,” she said. Preti, clearly emotional, also shared his experience, saying, “When I saw Venus, she was beautiful, like a goddess. I was crying and happy.”
The former world number one later shared glimpses from the wedding on Instagram, including photos of herself in her wedding dress and a moment that appeared to show Serena singing alongside a backing band.
In one playful post, Venus wrote, “Guess what I did this weekend?” before adding, “Yes, that’s right! We got married! It was and still is a dream!”
While Serena Williams has been married to Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian since 2017, Venus had largely kept her romantic life private throughout her illustrious tennis career.
Her marriage to Preti marks a new chapter for the seven-time Grand Slam singles champion, who has long been celebrated for her achievements on and off the court.
Fans and fellow celebrities have since flooded social media with congratulatory messages, celebrating Venus Williams’ fairytale union and wishing the couple a lifetime of happiness.
