Nigerian footballer Daniel Daga is currently at the center of a major controversy in Norway after being “formally indicted” on a sexual assault charge under Norwegian law.
The 18-year-old midfielder, who plays for top Norwegian club Molde FK, has been “suspended from all football activities” by the club while legal proceedings are ongoing.
According to reports from Norwegian media and an official statement from Molde FK, the alleged incident was reported to authorities in April 2025. Following investigations by Norwegian law enforcement, prosecutors moved forward with formal charges, leading to Daga’s indictment.
