The Nigerian film industry has been thrown into deep mourning following the sudden death of popular Nollywood actress Allwell Ademola, whose passing has continued to generate emotional reactions from colleagues, friends, and fans.
Nollywoodtimes reported late Saturday night that the actress reportedly died after suffering a heart attack at her residence, a development that shocked many within the entertainment industry. The tragic news was later confirmed by several Nollywood practitioners through their respective social media platforms.
Among the first to publicly mourn the late actress were Damola Olatunji, Mr Latin, Faithia Williams, and Bidemi Kosoko, all of whom described her death as heartbreaking and devastating. Their tributes reflected the deep sense of loss currently being felt across the Yoruba movie sector.
However, one of the most emotional reactions came from veteran Nollywood actor Muyiwa Ademola, who revealed that Allwell Ademola was not only his colleague but also his cousin. Taking to Instagram, the actor shared a touching tribute that has since resonated with many fans online.
Muyiwa Ademola described the news of her death as the saddest he has ever received, admitting that he was completely overwhelmed and at a loss for words. In a deeply reflective message, the actor used the painful moment to call for forgiveness, peace, and love among humanity.
He wrote:
“Goodnight, Couz. Good night, ALLWELL.
It is one of the saddest news I ever received! I do not know what to write.
But please and please, if I have wronged you in any way. Do forgive me. Remember, a day like this is certain for you and me! Think about that and forgive me.”
In an emotional turn, the actor revealed that he was consciously letting go of all grudges, stating that his heart felt heavy and he desired peace. He also publicly forgave anyone who may have wronged him, emphasizing the importance of love and unity in a fragile world.
Muyiwa concluded with a heartfelt prayer and farewell:
“I’m letting go of all grudges in my heart, too. My heart is heavy, and I want it so light. If you have wronged me in any way, I have forgiven you as well.
Let’s keep being peaceful in this empty world!
