Veteran Nollywood actress Rita Edochie has unleashed a scathing Instagram tirade aimed at her nephew-in-law’s estranged fiancée, Yinka Theisen.
In the lengthy post, Rita made it clear that the Edochie family “is not a dumping ground for retárded individuals with intellectual disabilities,” adding: “Person wey no get integrity dey constitute nuisance on the streets of social media.”
Rita accused Yinka of harassing the family online, describing her as a “public bore hole,” and of failing to be “handled in the shower” before her alleged entanglement with the family. “No matter your plans,” Rita warned, “you can never see him.” She added: “You practically desired to bear the name Edochie, forgetting that the name is not for the insáne but the sane.”
Warning Yinka to halt what she described as matrimonial mayhem, Rita wrote: “We don’t want a matrimonial menace in our honourable family.” She demanded that Yinka, who she claimed entered “through the window, and back door,” move on. “As the mad woman you are, who ran out of the psychiatric centre, please go back to where you belong and move on. Move into the bush and start hunting for another innocent young man whom you will mess up with.”
This eruption comes amid public online disputes involving Yinka, her breakup with actor Linc Edochie, and sibling-in-law drama with May Yul Edochie. Yinka, in turn, fired back at Rita in her own Instagram post: “Rita Edochie you are too old to write lies about me. You should be ashamed of yourself. Unlike you I was brought up properly, so I will not post things that will embarrass a man I professed love for… Stop catching clout you are too old for this.”
The family feud continues to play out publicly, reflecting the growing tensions inside one of Nollywood’s most-noted households.
