Nollywood actress Sarah Martins has penned an emotional message of appreciation to Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, after he generously donated ₦20 million to support her humanitarian initiative aimed at feeding less privileged children in Lagos.
Taking to her official Instagram page, Sarah expressed heartfelt gratitude to Seyi Tinubu, the Noella Foundation, and all supporters of her charitable vision. The actress vowed to ensure the funds are “judiciously utilized” in acquiring a suitable space that would allow her team to expand their cooking outreach while complying with Lagos State Environmental Laws and Standards.
In her own words, Sarah Martins wrote:
> “My heartfelt appreciation to Mr. Seyi Tinubu, @seyitinubu, the Noella Foundation, friends and associates of S.T. for supporting the vision to feed less privileged kids.
This money #20,000,000 will be judiciously put into acquiring a space where we can scale cooking to feed more people, but most importantly, in compliance with Lagos State Environmental laws & standards, ensuring that public health and safety are never compromised.
I also want to reiterate that I am committed to humanity as a means of supporting the Government to achieve SDG goals as an Ambassador of Peace and Humanity.
On behalf of @goldenheartfoundation2, we are committed to reducing the burden on the Government by putting more smiles on the faces of street kids.”
The actress’s touching message comes days after she made headlines for being allegedly assaulted by uniformed officials—believed to be members of the Kick Against Indiscipline (KAI) task force—while feeding homeless children on the streets of Lagos. Sarah had earlier shared a video on social media showing her bruised hand, lamenting the treatment she received from the officials.
What appeared to be a painful incident soon turned into a blessing when Seyi Tinubu reached out and offered her the ₦20 million donation to elevate her charity initiative. He reportedly expressed interest in helping her scale up the project to reach more underprivileged children across the state.
The actress reaffirmed her commitment to using her platform to promote peace, humanity, and social welfare in Nigeria, aligning her mission with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). She emphasized that her organization, the Golden Heart Foundation, would continue to play an active role in supporting the government’s efforts to alleviate poverty and hunger among street children.
Sarah Martins’ emotional journey—from public assault to receiving life-changing support—has inspired many Nigerians online, with fans commending her resilience, compassion, and unwavering dedication to humanitarian causes.
