Veteran Nollywood actress Rita Edochie has delivered a powerful message to men, emphasizing the crucial role women play in building successful homes. The respected actress, known for her outspoken views on relationships and morality, shared her thoughts via social media, urging men to treat their wives with love and respect.
According to Rita, “A good woman is the engine of every home. Argue with your keypads, na me talk am and na out of experience. Behind every successful man, there’s a good spiritual woman. Believe it or not, women are spiritual, virtuous, and substantial.”
The seasoned actress noted that women operate with God’s heart and possess the power to make or unmake a man. She explained that when a man mistreats his wife, neglects her, or cheats on her, his success begins to fade.
In her words, “Women work with God’s heart. They have the power to make and unmake you. You could be doing well today with one woman you care about, but the very moment you stop showing her love, start hitting her, talking down on her, cheating on her, sleeping outside, rejecting her food and frolicking with ladies on the night street, your glory as a man starts dropping drastically. By the time she gets fed up and decides to walk away, trust me, your life will be in misery, and you will begin eating your own tears.”
She further cautioned men not to inflict pain or frustration on their partners, warning that doing so could bring misfortune upon them. “It’s simple: do not cause someone’s daughter pain and frustration, because your life as a man can be jeopardised. Every right-thinking woman is a strong vessel. And she is not as weak as the saying has labelled her to be. The heart of a woman plays a vital role in the success or failure of her man. Treat your woman well and enjoy your home in peace,” she said.
This isn’t the first time Rita Edochie has highlighted the spiritual and emotional strength of women. In a previous post, she stated that “99 per cent of the success of every home is due to right-thinking women,” describing them as the stamina and foundation of every family. She noted that women’s influence shapes the morals, values, and character of their loved ones.
In another viral message, the actress called out second wives, describing them as greedy and heartless. Rita warned that “the tears they cause will come back to haunt them,” stressing that no woman should build her happiness on another woman’s pain.
The Yul Edochie’s aunt also cautioned married men against mistreating their wives because of side chicks, reminding them that when they grow old, they will regret losing the loyalty and commitment of their true partners.
