Afrobeats superstar, Tiwa Savage, has once again spoken about her strained relationship with fellow singer Davido, assuring him that despite everything that has happened between them, she will never turn her back on him.
Speaking in an interview with The Breakfast Club, the multiple award-winning singer emphasized her loyalty to the DMW boss, stressing that she has no reason to betray him or side against him in any matter.
The rift between the two entertainers began in January 2024 after Tiwa Savage shared a photograph of herself with Sophia Momodu, Davido’s first baby mama, on social media.
At the time, Davido was locked in a public and emotional custody battle with Sophia over their daughter, Imade.
The post did not sit well with Davido, who reportedly felt that Tiwa’s move was a deliberate show of support for Sophia.
The disagreement quickly escalated, with heated exchanges following the incident.
Things became more intense after Tiwa Savage filed a petition to the Nigerian police, alleging that Davido had threatened her life.

“I haven’t spoken to Davido, but I do want you to know that I love you and I would never betray you or take side,” Tiwa said, sending a direct message to the singer.
She further explained that she has always considered Davido a close friend and colleague, and nothing could make her change that bond.
The “Somebody’s Son” crooner added that disagreements are bound to happen among friends, but they should never erase the foundation of loyalty and respect.
Tiwa’s statement comes at a time when Davido is still navigating his legal and personal tussle with Sophia Momodu, a matter that has kept fans and blogs buzzing for months.
