Veteran Nigerian Fuji musician, Adewale Ayuba, has broken his silence to dismiss rumours linking him to a divorce and paternity dispute with his wife, Azuka Ego.
The speculation, which circulated widely on social media last week, was triggered by a YouTube channel, Nigerian News.
The channel claimed that the Fuji legend uncovered his wife’s alleged infidelity through a secret DNA test, which supposedly revealed that some of their children were not biologically his. The report further alleged that Ayuba divorced Azuka as a result of the alleged betrayal.
In a swift reaction on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, Ayuba issued a strong rebuttal through Bonsue Fuji Entertainment, his management company. The statement, which was also posted on his official Instagram page, described the viral report as “baseless, malicious, and defamatory.”
Ayuba firmly denied all the allegations, stressing that he has remained happily married to his wife for over three decades. He insisted that at no point has the paternity of his children been in question. “I will not allow my integrity to be attacked without consequences,” he declared, warning that he was prepared to take decisive legal steps to protect both his name and his family.
The statement from Bonsue Fuji Entertainment further clarified the situation, assuring fans and supporters that the allegations were completely fabricated.
“We want to state this clearly to everyone who supports Dr Adewale Ayuba, that there is absolutely no truth not a single iota in this cooked-up story. For the record, they have been happily married for over thirty years. This is nothing more than a cheap, despicable attempt to embarrass Dr Ayuba’s family, malign his character, and bring his united family to public ridicule,” the statement read.
The management added that consultations with legal experts were already underway to hold the blogger accountable. “We are currently consulting with our lawyers to pursue all available legal remedies against the irresponsible individual,” it noted.
Ayuba, popularly referred to as the Bonsue Fuji maestro, also expressed gratitude to his fans for their continued support while urging them to disregard the rumours. He described the reports as calculated attempts by mischief-makers to damage his reputation and sow discord in his family.
Over the years, Adewale Ayuba has not only established himself as a household name in Nigeria’s Fuji music scene but also as a cultural ambassador who has consistently promoted moral values through his songs.
Known for his humility and family-oriented lifestyle, the recent allegations, according to his supporters, stand in direct contrast to the musician’s reputation.
