Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has made a bold declaration about his future in the music industry, stating that he would step away from music once every member of his hip-hop collective, Anti World Gangstars, attains success.

The Abuja-born artist made this known in a recent post on his X handle (formerly Twitter), where he wrote, “Once all my nggas make it in music, I’m out.”

This statement has since sparked mixed reactions among fans and fellow musicians, many of whom commend his loyalty while others question whether such a move is necessary.

The Anti World Gangstars is a six-man music collective comprising rappers Odumodublvck, Agunna, Fatboy E, Reeplay, Shagba, and their producer/engineer, Cross.

Though all the members have been active in the underground rap scene for years, Odumodublvck remains the standout success among them.

His rise to fame came with the 2023 hit single “Declan Rice”, which was widely acclaimed for revitalizing Nigerian hip-hop and attracting international attention.

In a previous interview, the rapper claimed that “Declan Rice” is “the most impactful Nigerian hip-hop song ever,” a statement that continues to stir debate among rap enthusiasts and music critics.

The track not only catapulted him into the limelight but also earned him recognition from A-list Nigerian and international artists, including Davido, Skepta, and Stormzy.

Despite his growing fame, Odumodublvck has consistently used his platform to spotlight his crew, often bringing them along to major events and collaborations. However, most members of the Anti World Gangstars collective still remain relatively unknown in the mainstream.

Odumodublvck’s pledge to exit the music scene once his friends achieve mainstream success is being interpreted by many as an act of solidarity and selflessness.

For a rapper who has consistently preached unity and community in his lyrics, this declaration only reinforces his commitment to seeing his circle win.

Reacting to his post, a fan wrote, “This is the most selfless thing I’ve heard in a long time. Real brotherhood.” Another said, “It’s rare to see someone successful so committed to lifting others without seeking more for himself.”

Yet, some observers are skeptical about whether Odumodublvck would truly quit music, especially given his rising trajectory and expanding global recognition. One music analyst noted, “If all his friends blow up, won’t that be the perfect time for a group album or global tour? Walking away might not be so simple.”

Regardless of what the future holds, Odumodublvck’s statement reflects the rapper’s values loyalty, purpose, and a deep commitment to community growth. In an industry often associated with individualism and competition, his approach stands out as refreshingly different.

Whether or not he eventually exits the scene, Odumodublvck’s influence on Nigerian hip-hop is undeniable, and his journey continues to inspire a new generation of rappers and dreamers.
