Big Brother Naija Season 9 ex-housemate, Nelly Mbonu, has sparked fresh controversy after openly stating that fellow housemates Ozee and Ocee Mbadiwe, known as the Mbadiwe Twins, did not deserve to be part of the reality show.
In an interview with Hip TV, Nelly criticized the twins for what she described as an underwhelming performance in the house. According to her, they brought nothing unique to the table and stayed in the game longer than they should have.
“Mbadiwe Twins should have been evicted in the first week. I feel like they were not supposed to be in Big Brother’s house, to be honest. I felt like they were just, I don’t know, I cannot just say what they were doing in the house.”
Nelly also accused other housemates of giving the twins preferential treatment because of their family name.
“Mbadiwe Twins’ surname made most housemates to be interested in them. They were well respected in the house because of the name. But it wasn’t a thing for me. I don’t care.”
While clarifying that her remarks were not personal, she admitted the twins got on her nerves during their time together.
“I don’t have anything against them but they are just pissing me off. They annoyed me.”
She concluded by saying the twins might have been fit for the show — just not this particular season.
“They merit to be on the show but not season 9.”
