Popular media personality Do2dtun has voiced serious concern over the mental and emotional well-being of music legend 2Baba (Innocent Idibia), following a recent apology video shared by the singer.

2Baba had stirred controversy after appearing on Nedu’s podcast, where he claimed that men are not naturally designed to be sexually exclusive to one woman. According to him, a man can love a woman deeply, yet still struggle with monogamy.

However, after receiving backlash, the singer posted a video on Instagram in which he admitted he had “fucked up.” In the emotional clip, he publicly apologized to his wife, Natasha, describing her as “the love of [his] life,” and extended his remorse to his children and fans, insisting, “That’s not who I am.”

In response, Do2dtun took to social media, expressing worry about 2Baba’s state of mind. He pointed out that the singer is not one to make public statements or apologies, even during previous controversies. He fears that 2Baba is currently in a vulnerable place and possibly being exploited.

“Please, I don’t like this 2face I’m seeing. Something is not right at all,” Do2dtun tweeted. “He can express himself how he chooses to, but why always make him retract a video or apologise like a child? He is vulnerable, and someone is milking it. Whoever is holding that camera is wicked.”

He continued, “Someone is forcing him to be who he is not. 2face hardly addresses anything, even in his worst scandals… He is regressing, and I hate it.”

The on-air personality called for professional support for the artist, suggesting therapy or a psychological evaluation. He emphasized that everyone makes mistakes, and judgment shouldn’t be the default response.

“I don’t care what his personal life or choices caused for him… We can’t all judge him sometimes. He can’t be wrong all the time. Even if he is, I won’t replace the masterpiece he created for his mistakes. This isn’t looking good at all.”

He also questioned the motivation behind the apology video, stating, “The person letting him do these videos is not making him do it for his brand but for themselves. Someone is taking advantage of his situation.”

Do2dtun concluded by highlighting how trauma and fear can make a person susceptible to influence, particularly when they’re outside their comfort zone. He nostalgically referenced the late Sound Sultan as someone 2Baba could have leaned on.

“At this point, I’ll say this out loud. I think 2Face needs help. Therapy or genuine evaluation. Something is not right at all,” he wrote. “The floodgates will open up, and everything will seem right even when it is wrong… This is where a 2face needs a Sound Sultan. It’s quite sad.”

He urged fans and friends to look beyond blame and offer genuine support. “Give it a few years and we will come back to this conversation… iree o!”
